Maternal and infant nutrition
CFHS commissioned Rock Solid Social Research Ltd in partnership with Communicable Health to carry out research into how community food and health and voluntary organisations are carrying out activities that support the main priorities of the Scottish Government’s ‘Improving Maternal and Infant Nutrition: A Framework for Action’.
The research completed by Rock Solid Social Research is now available.
The report, From the Ground Up, summarises the research and provides a snapshot of community and voluntary ontributions to improving maternal and infant nutrition in Scotland at a particular time – spring 2012.
We are developing our understanding of the impact and influence that community food initiatives can have on maternal and infant nutrition. To take this forward we have undertaken a short survey monkey and will be following up respondents and others working in the field. If you have a strong story to tell about the difference your work makes for mums to be, parents or families with young children, or how you influence policy and practice locally, please get in touch.
