Third Sector Enterprise Fund

The Scottish Government is now accepting applications for the Third Sector Enterprise Fund. This £12 million Fund, available from April 2009 to March 2011 ‘aims to support ambitious third sector organisations that wish to operate in a more business-like and enterprising way, with a view to achieving increased sustainability’.

It will invest in activities such as operations, skills and skills utilisation, marketing and business development, governance and financial controls, plant and machinery and buildings. One of the initial priorities for investment from the fund is tackling the underlying causes of health inequalities. Awards will be between £25,000 and £100,000.
