Our colleagues at CHEX are running a participative online workshop on the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act for community-led health organisations and the wider community sector across Scotland.
The workshop will take place using Zoom on Wednesday 9th September 2020 at 10am-12am with some time at the end for questions and discussion for anyone who wants to stay on.
The online workshop will be a chance to find out what the Act contains and how to make use of it. Community organisations and other groups they work with can make use of the Act in order to take forward the sorts of things they want to do.
As well as providing a general overview, the workshop will introduce you to:
- how to make a participation request to have discussions with public bodies about improving services
- asset transfer requests and community right to buy land and buildings
- requirements under the Act for community planning partnerships
