The British Red Cross is offering fully-funded education sessions in Edinburgh, Dundee and Fife.
First Aid workshops are tailored for the needs of your group but have a particular focus on first aid for Three groups: Drug and Alcohol misuse , Homelessness and Older People , whose health may put them at risk of sudden illness or injury.
All first aid workshops provide people with the essential skills and confidence to act in a first aid emergency situation, exploring the idea of helping a stranger and how to remain calm under pressure.
A few of the First Aid skills covered are: unresponsive and breathing, unresponsive and not breathing, bleeding, head injuries, burns, chocking, someone who has swallowed something harmful etc.
All programmes are completely free, delivered by a skilled educator and will be tailored to the needs of your group. Session times are flexible; usually between 120- – 180 minutes, and we can work with groups of up to 12.
