Are you a civil servant, Scottish Government secondee or an employee of a national organisation? Or are you working in a community or voluntary sector organisation and would like to better understand how your statutory sector colleagues work? If the answer is yes, this event could be for you. Community Health Exchange (CHEX), Community Food and Health (Scotland), and Voluntary Health Scotland invite you to an exciting learning and networking event in Glasgow on Tuesday 3 March 2015, starting with lunch at 1 pm.
This is an opportunity to see first-hand how policies affect and impact on people’s lives and how all agencies across all sectors can work together to eliminate inequalities.
You will hear real life stories of impact from community and voluntary sector organisations, discuss how these stories can be used to inform and influence policy and strategic working, and have an opportunity to network and share news, information, and learning about health inequalities.
There will also be the opportunity on the day to sign up to visit community or voluntary sector organisations and find out what is happening in the third sector to prevent, reduce and reverse health inequalities.
For more information or to book a place at this event, please contact janeoliver1@nhs.net by Friday 20 February 2015.
