The Support and Connect Fund aims to help tackle poverty by improving local support for people experiencing hardship in Scottish communities. This might include funding welfare and rights advice, financial services, food and fuel poverty activities as well as projects providing clothing, starter packs and household goods. Revenue costs as well as some capital costs (less than £50,000) are eligible for consideration. Part of the Big Lottery Investing in Communities portfolio, the Support and Connect fund will run until 2015 and is open to both voluntary and public sector organisations.
