The future is local

The Scottish Community Alliance (SCA) is co-ordinating a Communities Day at the Scottish Parliament on 26 April. The day will offer a mixture of debate and discussion on some of the key issues facing Scotland’s communities as well as providing an opportunity to celebrate achievements.

Delegates from different parts of the sector have been invited including Development Trusts, Credit Unions and Social Enterprises.  CFHS have been invited to encourage groups working on food and health inequalities to apply for a place alongside delegates involved with the Healthy Living Centre Alliance and the Community Health Exchange (CHEX). Thirty places in total have been put aside for delegates from the three health networking organisations.

If you would like to get a place, please request and return an application form to Aileen at the Development Trust Association Scotland, who are administering the event, copying in Angus at the Scottish Community Alliance.   Please note the time for arrival at Parliament is 9am for a 9.30am start, which will allow time for registration and security checks.

Accommodation for the night previous is being arranged by the organisers for those who cannot be expected to get to Edinburgh by that time in the morning and some travel bursaries are also available. SCA is also urging you to contact your local MSP and encourage them to attend the debate.
