Tuesday 15 February 2011
Albany Centre, Glasgow
10 am to 3.15 pm (lunch provided)
Places are still available at this free event. The aim of the event is to learn from other groups and agencies across Scotland that are carrying out food and health work with young people. The event will be based on workshops and aims to give everyone the chance to share their experiences. Some of the work will be based on what groups have learnt from taking part in a CFHS youth funded project on healthy eating.
Who is the event for? Volunteers or staff delivering or planning to deliver healthy eating activities with young people and staff or volunteers working with vulnerable young people, such as: young carers; people who have experienced homelessness; are affected by drug or alcohol misuse and who deliver or are planning to deliver food and health activities.
CFHS may consider contributing to the costs of travel and other expenses for community and voluntary sector organisations that might otherwise have difficulties attending. Please ask us for further information on this if you would like us to consider contributing to these costs.
Please contact us for a booking form if you are interested in attending.
The Beyond Smoothies report, which has just been published, shows what 20 groups who received CFHS funding for REHIS training and healthy eating activities, learnt and gained from the training and healthy eating activities.
