What did we discuss at our recent online peer session?

Our most recent online peer session for the community food sector, held on 13 May 2026, discussed how the community food sector contributes to the prevention of a wide range of public health issues.

We used this peer session to share learning from the Evaluating Prevention Session that Public Health Scotland ran with Evaluation Support Scotland (ESS) earlier this year

Following presentations, in breakout groups we discussed a common issue that community organisations may try to address: “People are struggling to eat well in your community.” We considered how some of these activities might contribute to preventing wider and longer-term problems and used a logic model to help us.
