Pizza-making fun at Cook at the ‘Nook supports CFINE’s community work
Earlier this month, CFINE (Community Food Initiatives North East) welcomed a team from ETPM Ltd into its training kitchen, Cook at the ‘Nook, for a lively and delicious pizza-making night. The session, led by CFINE development worker and pizzaiolo Sean McVeigh, saw 13 staff from the energy sector recruitment company rolling dough, adding their favourite toppings, and baking their own creations from scratch.
“Thank you for a brilliant event at CFINE last night. We have had great feedback from the team and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.” – Meghan Dixon – Recruitment Team Lead
The evening wasn’t just about having fun, although there was plenty of that. By hosting groups like ETPM, CFINE generates income that helps sustain its vital work tackling food insecurity, improving health, and promoting inclusion across Aberdeen and beyond.
CFINE’s Cook at the ‘Nook kitchen is used regularly for community cooking classes that help people build practical food skills, budget better, and gain confidence. Events like this pizza night bring new people into the space, raise awareness of CFINE’s work, and foster valuable community and corporate partnerships.
