Invitation to pilot the Place Standard Tool – Food Environment Lens
Public Health Scotland is inviting expressions of interest from local areas to pilot the Place Standard Tool with a Food Environment Lens. The pilot will explore how the tool can bring communities together to review and influence their local food environments and support local planning and decision-making.
Local authorities and NHS Boards are well placed to lead this work, but we also welcome interest from community organisations that:
• Are well connected to other community and public sector partners.
• Have capacity to host and facilitate community workshops.
• Can analyse feedback and want to use findings to help shape local action.
• Are able to report back to PHS on outcomes and tool usability.
This opportunity is best suited to larger community organisations with existing relationships across community and public sector partners.
Deadline for expressions of interest: 6 November 2025
