CFHS and Edinburgh Community Food are holding an event for Scotland’s community cafes on 8 August in the Well, the Square Centre, Edinburgh from 12.30 to 4.30 pm.
Our community cafe event will give cafe staff and volunteers a chance to meet other cafe workers, hear about the work of other community cafes from across Scotland, and pick up ideas about how to develop their services. The event will also be invaluable for community food initiatives and other organisations that support, or want to support, community cafes.
The event will include opportunities to network, and a range of workshops on topics such as making your cafe inclusive, running a cafe in a rural area, promoting your cafe (for not a lot) and the healthyliving award. The programme will be confirmed nearer the time.
