DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for our annual networking conference to be held at Perth Concert Hall on 28 October 2015. \nA one-day event where people can learn and discuss national activity and local practice with people from all over Scotland. An opportunity for people to come together\, learn from each other and share experience\, evidence\, hopes and concerns on all aspects of food\, inequality and social justice. \nThe event will focus on the impact community food activity can have on local practice and national policy developments \nThe full programme for the day is now available along with information on breakout sessions. \nRegister at https://cfhs2015.eventbrite.co.uk.  Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

SUMMARY:Challenge poverty week
DESCRIPTION:The Poverty Alliance – Scotland – Working together to combat poverty \nThere are four aims for the week: \n\n\n\n\n\nto bring to public attention the reality of poverty in Scotland;\nto the show the impact of poverty on individuals and communities and to address the sterotypes that exist about poverty;\nto highlight what is being done to address poverty (particularly by communities themselves);\nand to highlight the continuing challenges that we face in addressing poverty\n\n​To achieve this organisations across Scotland will be organising events\, running community activities\, meeting with politicians to discuss their concerns. \n
