Cooking course for foster carers or residential children’s home staff
Posted: July 15, 2015
The Children’s Food Trust is running free, ‘hands on’, two-day cookery courses for carers in the Glasgow and Edinburgh area this autumn. The training is for any registered foster carers, kinship carers or staff who work in a residential children’s home or who work closely with Looked After Children, and who would like to pass on cooking skills to them. Staff or carers don’t need to know how to cook already to come on the course.
The trainers will show carers how to prepare simple, healthy meals and give tips on cooking with children and young people at home. It’s a great way to help carers give the young people in their care skills for life in healthy cooking and eating.
