Healthy Eating Healthy Living: A report on the Healthy Eating Healthy Living project for adults with learning disabilities in 6 Scottish pilot sites

This Scottish Government funded Healthy Eating, Healthy Living Project developed a multi-media educational pack consisting of 26 sessions on healthy eating for adults with learning disabilities. This included five practical cookery sessions. A small team supported six pilot sites in Greater Glasgow and Tayside to deliver the pack and this report describes how the programme was delivered; what impact it made and recommendations for this work in the future.

In Spring 2010 CFHS commissioned external research to explore the impact of small grants of 2008. In 2008, 58 organisations received funding between £150 and £3000. The research explored the impact of the grants for individuals, communities and the organisations themselves. Issues around sustainability and key learning were also captured.

Minding Their Own Business Too: examples of community food initiatives that have become more enterprising

In 2006 Community Food and Health (Scotland) produced ëMinding Their Own Businessí, an introduction to business and social enterprise for organisations supporting local communities tackling inequalities in diet and health. Minding Their Own Business Too is a companion to this toolkit. In response to suggestions from people involved in community food and health work, it focuses on examples of community food and health organisations that have moved from thinking about being enterprising, to doing it.

Food, training and learning disability: a report on a food and health training project for support workers
