On Thursday 25 June, CFHS co-hosted this event in Edinburgh, looking at what we are learning and what we need to do about food, health and homelessness in Scotland. 70 people attended from a wide range of organisations working with people affected by homeless, Local Authorities, Health Boards, Scottish Government and the Care Commission. Business support for community food initiatives facing sustainability issues

A programme of business support for up to 10 community food initiatives that expect to face sustainability isses within the next 6-18 months is now open. The programme will provide successful applicants with up to seven days business advice from a social enterprise support agency. Applications are being accepted from now until the end of October 2009. Equally Well

Equally Well, the report of the ministerial task force on health inequalities was launched last week by Minister for Public Health, Shona Robison. The report highlights the £1.78 billion being spent on tackling health inequalities over the next three years but recommends that this resource can deliver better outcomes by re-designing public services.
